Do You Like Vlogs? – Breaking Dawn Part 1

Josh and I talk entirely too long about Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 1, much like the vlog rants from Doug and Noah this past week.  We think we’ve covered nearly every problem, but we challenge you to listen to our arguments against the movie.  Yes, it’s long.  We know.  Dare you listen?

Yes…. Yes to this. lol I really have found it near impossible to focus on a few points to agree with, you’ve just hit too many nails on the head. I will say this though: a genuinely playful cat, though sometimes missunderstood, is the bearer of good energies… and tufts of hair that will drift around the house for hours.

Nice vid guys. Thank you for braving the horror for us. 🙂

Bahaha, in that god-awful book, Edward actually does tell Jacob to have sex with Bella! apparently as a means of convincing her to abort the hell-spawn in order to have a normal baby with Jacob. They really have that conversation.

I remember that conversation. I couldn’t believe it when I read it. I had to put the book down for a couple months after that because I was so pissed off.

I still haven’t finished Breaking Dawn. I got to the part where her spine broke and I haven’t looked at it since. It’s just so infuriating. I had to be in a really good mood to read it… a good mood that i don’t mind losing.

At the end of the movie, you mentioned that someone got a “we had a baby!” card from Carlisle. You said that they spelled it with an s, so it’s wrong. Carlisle is spelled with an s. That really confused me.
But enough questions. I really love your Twilight review. I just don’t get why people like that series.

i feel bad that i know this… but the reason Leah (werewolf chick) doesn’t get any action is because she is sterile. for some reason the process into becoming a werewolf made her unable to reproduce anymore. and imprinting only occurs between the werewolf and the best possible mate to make stronger werewolves. so Leah will die alone and unloved because Smeyer is a jerk.

That and for what Bella tells her parents about the kid, I haven’t read it. I understand that she doesn’t tell her parents anything. She passes Reneesme off, who at this point is about four years old looking, as Edward’s niece. Renee totally buys it. But Charlie is creeped out, saying that the kid looks too much like Bella.

But still nothing comes of it. Charlie still doesn’t find out about the vampires. He just figures something is wrong… but he goes back to his fishing, beer and football and lets it go.

I meant to say, I haven’t read this far. But I understand from conversations with other people that this is what happens.

Here is a fun little plothole that could have removed the entire conflict of breaking dawn. Why didn’t they just stay on the island and have dr carlisle fly over to them? I guess you could argue that he had the equipment he needed at the house. However they never really use it. Putting that aside, they are loaded and could just transport what they need on a private jet. Or they could just buy all new equipment. Why was it so neccesary for her to travel anywhere when they have no idea what could happen?

Here is a fun plothole that could have made the entire twilight saga even more irrelevent then it is. Why are 100 year old vampires wasting their time going to highschool. I understand that they need to do it in order to stay in a town longer but, why not just get a GED. They can spend four years saying they are being homeschooled then just get a GED. Especially since they are never in school anyway. And if they really wanted to waste the time then they can do online courses and get a degree that way. Their is no need to send vampires to a highschool when they can barely control themselves. What if someone gets injured during PE or a girl is having that time of the month? That one idiot actually attacked bella when she cut herself. What if that was in school?

But this is Smeyer we are talking about.
